CPR- Adult: Recognize and care for breathing,
cardiac and choking emergencies in individuals over twelve years of age.
CPR/AED- Adult: Same as Adult CPR with the addition
of training in the use of the Automated External Defibrillator
CPR- Child & Infant: Recognize and care for
breathing, cardiac and choking emergencies in individuals under the age of
twelve.
CPR- Adult, Child, & Infant: Recognize and care
for breathing, cardiac, and choking emergencies in adults, children and
infants.
Standard First Aid: Minimize the effects of shock.
Treat sudden illnesses including poisoning, heat and cold emergencies.
Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries
to bones, joints, and muscles, such as sprains and strains.
First Aid/CPR/AED Challenge: Offers the
opportunity to update certification without retaking the course. Intended as
an opportunity to demonstrate skills and be evaluated. It is NOT an
instructor-led practice or coaching session. All responsibility for
preparedness rests with you!
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer: Recognize
and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies. Perform two-rescuer
CPR and techniques for special rescue situations such as drowning. Use
resuscitation masks and bag-valve-masks for ventilating victims. Includes
training in the use of the Automated External Defibrillator.
Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor:
Train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross lay
responder First Aid and CPR/AED courses and modules. Must be at least 16
years of age and pass a precourse written and
practical exam.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Instructor Upgrade:Train
instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer. Must be a current Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED
Instructor and pass a precourse written and
practical exam.
Responding to Emergencies: Advanced training in
identifying and caring for life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness,
injuries, healthy lifestyles and injury prevention. Must be taken in
conjunction with a CPR course.
Epinephrine Auto-Injector Module: Recognize and
provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency until advanced emergency
medical personnel arrive. Includes the demonstration of an epinephrine
auto-injection device.
Pet First Aid: Covers such topics as how to approach
an injured animal, stop bleeding, splint broken bones, and treat for poison.
You will also learn how to safely transport an injured pet and put together a
pet first aid kit.
Babysitter's Training: Addresses safety issues,
preventing injuries and illnesses, basic child care, first aid, decision
making skills, and age-appropriate behavior and play. Designed for 11-15 year
olds.
When I'm In Charge: Provides 8 to 11 year olds with
information that empowers them to apply appropriate decision making skills
when out of the direct supervision of a parent/guardian.
Babysitter's Training Instructor: Train
instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
course. Must be a current First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and pass a precourse exam.
