Instructor Course Information
Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor: Train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross lay responder First Aid and CPR/AED courses and modules. Must be at least 16 years of age and pass a pre course written and practical exam.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Instructor Upgrade: Train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Must be a current Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor and pass a pre course written and practical exam.
Lifeguarding Instructor: Trains instructor candidates to teach Lifeguarding (including first aid), CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Blood borne Pathogens Training, and Basic Water Rescue. Prepares instructor candidates by developing their understanding of how to use course materials, conduct training sessions, and evaluate participants' progress. Must be at least 17 years of age and pass a pretest.
Water Safety Instructor: Trains instructor candidates to teach water safety, including Basic Water Rescue, six levels of the Learn to Swim and Parent and Child Aquatics. Must be at least 16 years of age and successfully complete a pre course session.
Babysitter's Training Instructor: Train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Babysitter's Training course. Must be a current First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and pass a pre course exam.
