TC3 Nurses offer Health Screening and Information Fair at Friendship Center
Free health evaluations will be offered to the public on Thursday April 15 from noon to 2:00pm at the American Red Cross Friendship Center, 618 West State Street. Nursing students from TC3 will be on site to take blood pressure readings, lung sound assessments, discuss various health care issues and address personal health concerns. Those attending are invited to pick up a slice of pizza and a voter registration form as well. For more information please contact the Red Cross Friendship Center at 273-6684.

Rather than spending days playing video games or hours watching television, the Tompkins County Chapter of the American Red Cross encourages adults and young people alike to take five easy steps to disaster preparedness.

Despite the societal prejudices against them and the obstacles they faced, African Americans have persisted in reaching out to help others. This virtual exhibit showcases the outstanding contributions of African Americans to the American Red Cross.

ITHACA JOURNAL HOLDS FOOD DRIVE TO BENEFIT RED CROSS (Feb 04)
The Ithaca Journal Employee Activity Committee is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the American Red Cross Food Pantry, which is available for the homeless and others in need. There is a container in the Customer Service Center at The Ithaca Journal, 123 W. State St., for donations. Canned goods and other nonperishable foods may be donated until Friday, Feb. 6.

Welcome Back!! Eleven-Year-Old Caroline Student Returns From Measles Initiative Trip to Guinea (Jan 04)
At the invitation of the American Red Cross, 11-year old Gregory Pendergast, a fifth-grader at Caroline Elementary School and his teacher, Anita Bellucci, traveled to Guinea to participate in the Measles Initiative's sixth mass measles campaign of the year.

Red Cross offices will be closed to the public Thursday and Friday, January 1st and 2nd in celebration of the New Year.
The Friendship Center will remain open from 9:30-4:30. Those in need of assistance can call 273-1900 and follow prompts, or 273-6684 for Friendship Center Staff.
Red Cross offices will re-open to the public on Monday, January 5th at 9:00am.
