Case Manager Aide:
Assist Case Managers working one-on-one with clients
who are either in danger of becoming homeless or who currently reside
in the Red Cross shelter. Establish rapport and trust with clients,
assist client with housing search and paperwork. Help clients move
into new homes and assist with informational groups.
Emergency Shelter Volunteer: Assist shelter management staff with the day-to-day operations of Red Cross administered homeless shelters. Assist clients in paperwork, housing search and applying for benefits. Prepare and hand out food baskets. Establish rapport and trust with clients, and assist client with housing search and paperwork. Friendship Center Volunteer: Assist Friendship Center staff with day-to-day operation of daytime drop-in center and safe haven for homeless and other needy individuals. Assist clients with job hunting, apartment searching, and paperwork completion. Prepare and conduct bag lunch giveaways, and help clean and maintain the Center. Help with special events. Also, help with activities for children of clients, including arts and crafts, games, and reading books.
